Formula comparison
PhenAprin Original is a relatively compact tablet formula. PhenGold is a broader three-capsule option. Both disclose useful quantities, so the comparison should focus on what those quantities mean for your purchase.

Our recommendation
PhenGold is our overall pick for the broader daily combination.
We favour its quantified botanicals, theanine and tyrosine alongside caffeine. PhenAprin Original has a clear convenience and lower-per-tablet-caffeine case, and we give it credit for disclosing its amounts.

Original rather than XR or TX7
The current PhenAprin range includes different formulas. This review covers Original. Its one-tablet panel lists phenylalanine 230 mg, carnitine tartrate 85 mg, taurine 75 mg, theobromine 70 mg, caffeine 70 mg and 7-keto DHEA 10 mg.
Those details should not be used to describe XR or TX7. A shared brand name does not make the ingredient list or stimulant profile identical.
Why the broader PhenGold formula appeals to us
PhenGold gives a reader more botanical and amino-acid choices within one disclosed daily formula. We prefer that particular selection for a general daytime routine, while acknowledging that a broader label creates more ingredients to consider for suitability.
PhenAprin’s simpler tablet can be attractive if convenience and a smaller per-tablet caffeine amount are priorities. Compare the instructed daily serving, rather than silently comparing one tablet with a full day of a different product.
Amounts refer to the stated serving for each product, not one capsule. Extract weights, raw-herb equivalents and elemental mineral amounts are different measurements.

“Not included” indicates confirmed absence from the assessed formula. “Not verified” identifies a gap in the information available for this comparison; it does not mean the manufacturer hides the amount.
PhenGold: All 12 label entries are shown individually. The caffeine figure is the declared anhydrous amount; total intake also depends on other caffeine sources.
Capsule and other ingredients
PhenGold: Hypromellose capsule, silica and magnesium stearate.
Low amounts should not borrow high-dose study outcomes
PhenAprin’s carnitine tartrate entry is 85 mg per tablet. A review of carnitine trials does not validate that amount within the finished formula. [1] The manufacturer itself describes its quantities as supportive amounts below some single-ingredient study levels.
We apply the same discipline to PhenGold. Its ingredient list should not be described as a collection of guaranteed outcomes. Our preference is for a formula and routine, not a prediction of pounds lost.
Check the 7-keto DHEA ingredient
PhenAprin Original includes 7-keto DHEA. A buyer participating in tested sport should check the current governing-body rules and the actual label before choosing it. This review is not a certification that either product is permitted or batch-tested for sport.
For all buyers, theobromine and other stimulant-related ingredients belong in the full assessment alongside caffeine. If you want PhenGold instead, its 225 mg caffeine anhydrous amount is a significant part of the choice, not a detail to ignore.
Our final choice
PhenGold is our preferred broader daytime formula. PhenAprin Original deserves credit for its clear label and convenient format, but its precise ingredients and daily directions should drive the choice.
