Formula comparison
Nugenix Thermo searches now lead to current Thermo-X material as well as older Thermo references. Keeping those versions separate is essential to a useful review.

Our recommendation
PhenGold is our preferred general daytime formula.
PhenGold’s stated theanine, tyrosine and botanical amounts form the combination we prefer. Nugenix Thermo-X also discloses branded ingredients; the preference is for PhenGold’s particular daily formula.

Thermo and Thermo-X are not one formula
The manufacturer’s Thermo sales page currently presents Thermo-X, including a two-capsule serving and a detailed ingredient panel. That is the current product assessed here. The quantities should not be applied retrospectively to an older bottle labelled only Thermo.
If you already own the older product, check the label before relying on a review found through the broad search term. The shared name is not enough to make old and new formulas equivalent.
What the current panel actually says
Thermo-X’s label includes RoseFit rose extract, MitoBurn L-BAIBA, Capsimax and several other extracts. It also separately declares caffeine anhydrous and caffeine-containing botanicals. Those details give it a real formulation identity.
The 154 mg caffeine anhydrous entry is not the whole caffeine story: coffee fruit and guarana entries also have caffeine standardisations. Reporting 154 mg as the complete total would understate what the label describes. We therefore avoid a simplistic caffeine league table.
Amounts refer to the stated serving for each product, not one capsule. Extract weights, raw-herb equivalents and elemental mineral amounts are different measurements.

“Not included” indicates confirmed absence from the assessed formula. “Not verified” identifies a gap in the information available for this comparison; it does not mean the manufacturer hides the amount.
PhenGold: All 12 label entries are shown individually. The caffeine figure is the declared anhydrous amount; total intake also depends on other caffeine sources.
Capsule and other ingredients
PhenGold: Hypromellose capsule, silica and magnesium stearate.
Why we favour PhenGold anyway
PhenGold is our preferred general daytime purchase for the combination of individually quantified theanine, tyrosine, rhodiola and the remaining ingredients. That is a preference for a particular formula, not a claim that Thermo-X is less sophisticated.
Nor would we promise that either capsule targets stubborn fat while automatically protecting muscle. Those are outcomes that need finished-product evidence and careful attention to the wider diet and training programme.
Which option is the better fit?
A buyer deliberately seeking Thermo-X’s branded ingredient selection may prefer it after reviewing the entire label. We favour PhenGold for someone looking for the broader daytime ingredient mix set out below.
Whichever you choose, count all stimulant sources, including extracts, and resist adding another thermogenic product on top. The ability to tolerate an energy sensation is not the same as knowing that a routine is appropriate for you.
Our final choice
PhenGold is our choice for general daytime use. Thermo-X should be assessed on its current panel, with credit for its disclosed ingredients and no mixing of quantities from older Nugenix Thermo versions.
